As we return to onsite attendance, it is timely to remember to be extra cautious during drop off and pick up times when driving. Up until the age of 10 or so, children are not able to accurately judge how far away a car is or the speed at which it is travelling so when you see a child crossing the road, please be mindful of this. The crossing on Warncliffe Road is manned by a Council lollipop person, however, the crossing on Robinhood Road is not manned.

When cars park too close to or on the crossing on either road, it hinders a student’s ability to see cars coming. There have been reports of cars travelling too quickly on Robinhood Road, potentially endangering students wanting to cross to get to the school gate. We want all of our students to get to and from school safely, and all the members of the school community have a part to play in this in terms of behaving with care and awareness on the roads around the school, particularly during peak times.
