Principal's Message
Thank you
Thank you to our students, teachers, support staff and parent community for an extraordinary year. We have worked together in ways that we never expected and I am proud to be the principal of our amazing school. Our students have shown resilience by adapting to the many changes throughout the year. They are eternal optimists and remind us all of the importance of connection and friendship.
I am so grateful to our dedicated teachers and education support staff for supporting our students during face to face teaching and remote learning. They are highly professional, knowledgeable and always put the needs of their students first.
Thank you to IEPS School Council, Sub committees, the PTFA and our Class Reps for their commitment to the school and for their willingness to help us all remain connected during the year.
I also thank each of you for supporting us all as we navigated our way through each of the challenges presented throughout the year. Thank you for your feedback, messages of support and for your extraordinary efforts to support your children’s learning.
We are looking forward to the opportunity to connect with each other in 2021 and ask that you save the date of Friday the 5th of February for our annual Welcome Picnic. Next year’s event will be one to remember as we celebrate our amazing community. Further information will be provided in January.
Year 6 Graduation/Farewell to families
We say farewell to our Year 6s and wish them well as they make the next step into secondary school. Thank you to the Year 6 teachers, Ms Seng, Ms Hamilton and Ms Paterson, the Year 6 students and the Graduation Committee for ensuring that our students had a memorable graduation experience.

We will also be saying farewell to a number of families who have had a long association with the school and we say thank you and good luck for the future to these families:

Final Assembly
We will celebrate the end of the school year with a short assembly on the oval this Friday just after 9am. This will allow us to come together and farewell our Year 6 students. Parents and carers are welcome.
Student reports
Student reports were made available through Compass on Monday and the Portfolios have been sent home with your children. The portfolios are a representation of the various stages of the learning process and celebrate student achievement.
Visit from Heidelberg Police Youth Community Liaison
We had a visit from Alison and Libby from Heidelberg Police who met with our Year 4, 5 and 6 students. They talked about the important role of the police which is to help keep our community safe. They also reminded students that they should not be on the school grounds after school unless they are with a parent or adult. They discussed the seriousness of causing damage to the school and how dangerous it is to climb onto the school roof. The students asked Alison and Libby lots of questions and we look forward to welcoming them to a whole school assembly early next year.
