2022 Enrolments

This is a final reminder that if you have not yet enrolled your Prep child for 2022, please do so via the office as soon as possible.

Please advise us as soon as possible if your child/children will not be attending Ivanhoe East Primary School next year. This information assists us with the steps for our staffing and planning the number of classes at each year level for 2022.

Shade Sail Grant

Thanks to the work of Adrienne Dudley who led the successful grant application for a shade sail to be placed over the stage area opposite the senior playground. This will provide additional shade to the children as they play in this area.

We are hoping this new shade sail will be installed early in 2022. This will be a welcome addition to our school facilities.

Covid Update

Last Thursday the Premier announced a further easing of restrictions. The guidelines for schools however have not changed. Therefore, even though mask rules have been lifted in some settings, they are still mandatory indoors for primary school staff, visitors, and students in Year 3-6 and strongly recommended for students from Foundation - Year 2.

Therefore, the current logistics at IEPS will stay in place. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing patience as we continue to manage our school in a COVID safe way.

Is Your Child Starting Secondary School Next Year?

Parents of our Year 6 students will tell you that it doesn’t seem that long ago that their child was starting school.

The primary years seem to fly by and our Year 6’s are preparing for their graduation and getting excited for their end of year activities.  

Secondary school can be a daunting thought for not only our students but parents as well. There are many questions, which I’m sure you have, which are not fully answered at information nights and orientation days.

The Department of Education and Training have developed an informative site, which provides hints and tips on how to support your child through the transition to secondary school.
