2022 Step Up Day- Tuesday 15th December
Our teachers have finalised the 2021 classes after a very thoughtful process that takes the following into consideration:
- Teacher’s knowledge of their students’ learning and social needs.
- Student input of learning friends where they are guaranteed to have at least one of their nominated friends in their class for next year.
- Parent information provided in writing to the leadership team by October 28.
The classes are reviewed by teaching teams and the Leadership Team in preparation for Step Up Day on Tuesday the 14th of December where the new classes will come together for a day of learning and getting to know you activities. This is an important day to start developing relationships with teachers and classmates prior to the start of the 2022 school year as part of our transition process.
Covid update
We have received notification that another one of our students has tested positive, however they were not on site during their infectious period, therefore at the moment there is no requirement that anyone isolate until they test negative. If we receive any further updates, we will communicate this with our community via Compass.
I would like to reiterate the importance that if a child/family member has any symptoms no matter how mild, they should get tested and remain at home until they receive a negative result and are symptom-free.
In light of this, I would also like to reiterate the CHO still directs primary school students in Grade 3-6 to wear a face mask indoors at primary school unless a lawful exception applies. Parent/carers of a student/s who meet the criteria for an exception should provide their approval in writing for their child/ren to not wear a mask and send this directly to your child's teacher via email/compass. You are able to find further information regarding this via the following link
