Announcing Our 2025 IEPS School Captains!
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the following four students who have been selected as the 2025 IEPS School Captains:
- Annika P
- Declan M
- Isaac P
- Zenaya C
These students have showcased outstanding leadership qualities, communication skills, and enthusiasm for making a positive impact within our school community. We are confident they will inspire and support all stakeholders throughout the year.
We also want to congratulate all the Year 5 students who participated in the rigorous school captain process. Their dedication and leadership potential were evident and highly commendable and made this year's decision quite challenging. For those students not selected, we encourage them to gather feedback and explore the many leadership opportunities available in 2025, such as roles as House Captains, Specialist/Environment Captains, PAG Representatives, and Press Club members, and the newly introduced Stand Up Project Leaders.
I want to thank the Year 5 & 6 teaching team, especially Ashley Hamilton for leading this process from beginning to end. We will formally introduce our 2025 School Captains at our Week 7 Assembly on Friday morning in the gym. We warmly invite you to join us in honouring these young leaders. We look forward to seeing the continued growth and contributions of all our students as they take on new challenges and shine as leaders in their own unique ways in 2025.
IEPS Paint and Sip: A Creative Success!
Over two fabulous nights, a group of talented parent artists gathered for our Paint and Sip events, creating stunning artworks. It was wonderful to see our community come together in such a fun and creative way! A huge thank you to Julia Greenham for her incredible efforts in sourcing all the materials and running engaging sessions that brought out the inner artist in everyone. A special mention also goes to Toni Kearney and Amanda Lynch for their work in organising this event/fundraiser.
After covering the costs, we are thrilled to announce that the events raised an impressive $910 in profit for our school.

Smile Squad Survey
Dear Parents/Carers,
As you might be aware, we have had the School Dental Program - ‘Smile Squad’ – attend our school to give the students information on good dental health, undertake dental examinations and, where required, organise follow-up treatment. While the program is voluntary, many of you consented for your child/children to participate in the Smile Squad program.
To better understand the delivery of the Smile Squad program including benefits and challenges, an independent firm (Abt Global) has been engaged to evaluate the program. This is your opportunity to provide feedback on your experience of the program. If you didn’t consent for your child/children to participate in Smile Squad they are also keen to hear from you. The evaluation team want to understand why you chose not to participate. So, whether you participated or not, this is an opportunity to provide feedback so that improvements can be made to the Smile Squad program.
To participate in the evaluation, you can complete a confidential 5–10-minute survey. The survey does not require you to provide any information to the evaluation team that identifies you, however the survey does ask what school your child/children attend. Here is the link to the survey.

We encourage you to participate in this short survey and provide valuable feedback on Smile Squad. If you would like to provide more detailed feedback to the evaluation team, please contact Eleanor at smilesquad_eval@abtglobal.com .
