The notion of school has changed significantly throughout the year and I want to thank our families for working with us as we adapt to supporting our students’ learning in these challenging times. I want to thank our teachers and support staff for their professionalism and care and for the flexibility that they continue to show each day. We asked for your input about your experiences of remote learning in Term 2, and we listened to what you told us. We have received many messages of support for the improvements that we have made to this term’s program and we are keen for more feedback as we near the end of the second week of remote learning. We would be grateful to you if you could complete this survey which will remain open until next Tuesday the 4th of August.

Hard copy learning materials and device collection
Hard copies of the Week 3 and 4 learning materials will be available for collection this Friday 31st July between 9:30am – 12:30pm. Please come to Warncliffe Road and follow the signage.
Families who asked for a device but have not collected them yet, may do so at this time also.
Building family resilience and finding family benefits during COVID- Tomorrow at 7pm
We have engaged Professor Lea Waters AM, PhD to lead a Webinar titled ‘Building Family resilience and Finding family Benefits during COVID’. Lea is an Australian academic, psychologist, author and speaker who holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology and is a world expert on School Psychology and Parenting.
The presentation acknowledges that as COVID-19 continues, families are facing new challenges, ongoing disruptions and rising levels of anxiety and fatigue.
Topics include:
- Why COVID-19 has made us all so tired.
- How to help manage anxiety in our kids and teenagers.
- Using COVID-19 as a time to build the resilience of our children.
- Creating positive family practices and rituals.
- Strategies to find the silver linings with your kids.
The webinar will be held online tomorrow Thursday, July 30 at 7pm. It will be recorded and will be available to view for one week if you are unable to attend at that time. The link to the recording will be shared with you via Compass on Friday morning.

Assembly
We look forward to welcoming you to our first remote whole school assembly on Wednesday the 12th of August. Further information will be provided in next week’s Bulletin.
New School Website
We are currently updating our school website and we look forward to launching it in the coming weeks. The new website will be easy to navigate and will be in synch with the current online version of the Bulletin.
Enrolments for 2021
The Department of Education has suspended all school tours so we will be using Webex to host virtual tours for parents and carers of children who are commencing Prep in 2021.
Tours will be limited to 4 families at a time and will run from 9.15am until approximately 10.00am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
