The Last One for the Term
It has been a term that has seen so many changes both in our schools and in the broader community. A very big challenge to adapt and pivot (soon to overtake unprecedented as the most popular word of 2021). Once again, I would like to congratulate the staff, students and families for their efforts and resilience.
During remote learning we have been organising a number of changes to staff. These changes have been largely due to Maternity Leave - all the best to Jenni, Kym and Jayne.
Welcome to Mr Michael Vampatta, who will be taking over from Kym Seng in Grade 1. Michael is known to many of our students through his involvement in the on-site learning program. We look forward to Michael joining our team and we have already organised a handover session with Kym.
Joining us through the term has been Mr Vi Truong who has already been working with Grade 2A. Vi has slotted in beautifully to his role and we look forward to a great Term 4 in Grade 2A.
Jayne Christopher will also be heading off on Maternity Leave as well. We have been able to persuade Mrs Lamers to extend her time fraction so that she will now be teaching P-6 Art .
Finally, I would like to say all the very best for the future to Hanka our Librarian. Hanka has been appointed to a full-time position at a large secondary school in the western suburbs. Hanka will be replaced in the Library by Pam McQuin and there has been a fantastic handover process taking place.
Congratulations
We are happy to announce that we have been successful in getting a Sporting Schools Grant. Well done to Justin Bartlett, our Phys Ed teacher, who did the work in putting in the application. We look forward to seeing how this opportunity manifests itself.
Finally, I hope everyone has a great break. I will be cheering loudly for my team of the Mighty West . It should be a great game and congratulations also to all Melbourne supporters. They have had a great year and are led by a fantastic captain.
